What we provide:

  • All bait, lures, rods, tackle and other fishing gear needed to hook and land your catch

  • Fishing instruction and expertise

  • Friendly, knowledgeable, USCG-licensed captains, certified in CPR and first aid, and experienced crew

  • Clean and safe vessel

  • All necessary safety gear

  • Fish cleaning

What you should bring:

  • Alaska fishing license (don’t forget the king stamp if you want to catch a king salmon) — purchase online from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game or from a local retailer

  • Familiarity with current sportfishing regulations from ADF&G and halibut regulations from NOAA Fisheries

  • Food and drink for the day. Outer Coast Adventures has a no-tolerance drug policy

  • Camera/video camera/binoculars

  • Rain gear, warm layers, hat and gloves — even if the sun is shining at the dock, the weather can change fast. Check out Windy.com for a pinpoint forecast or NOAA for a marine weather forecast

  • Waterproof, nonskid footwear

  • Shatterproof sunglasses or other protective eyewear

  • Motion sickness medication — our 34-foot catamaran offers a smoother ride than a monohull but there’s no guarantee we won’t do some rocking and rolling. Consult your physician and prepare accordingly.

  • A good attitude! We’ll do everything we can to provide a great experience but only you can fix grumpy

Booking terms and conditions

  • 7% sales tax and $3.50 harbor fee will be charged with each booking.

  • A fuel surcharge will be added if gas prices exceed $4.00 per gallon.

  • If the captain cancels a trip due to weather, mechanical or other unforeseen circumstances, customers will receive a full refund.

  • 50% of full trip price is due at time of booking with the remaining 50% due May 1. If booking after May 1, full trip price is due at time of booking.

  • Customers may request to reschedule a trip for another open day. Customers are responsible for any difference in pricing, depending on time of season.

  •  No-shows = no refund.

  • Trips leave the Seward Boat Harbor by 6 a.m. Full-day trips return by 6 p.m.

  • Cancelations: Full refund, minus credit card processing fee, for cancelations made more than 30 days prior to a trip. No refund for cancelations made within 30 days of a scheduled trip.

  • All trips require a minimum number of customers to leave the dock.

  • Contact Outer Coast Adventures by phone or email to cancel or change a trip.

  • Fees will be charged if reckless behavior requires excessive cleaning or causes damages to the boat, equipment or crew.

  • Liability disclaimer: Outer Coast Adventures takes safety seriously. We are trained and equipped to handle emergency situations and operate with customer safety utmost in mind. However, Alaska outdoor activities carry an inherent level of risk and we do not assume responsibility for injuries, damage or loss of personal property or for the time and expense injuries or damages might incur. We reserve the right to cancel or change the duration of a trip for safety reasons if conditions dictate.
